In this release, the Contact Flow Engine (CFE) modules have been organized into new palettes by function, and each module has a new icon that depicts its core feature.

New Chat Modules

The following modules have been added to the Contact Flow Editor to support chatbot configuration:

  • Chat Input: Allows you to configure input fields for the customer to enter information, such as plain text, numbers, emails, and dates.
  • Chat Options: Allows you to configure text messages and clickable options that the customer will see in a chatbot.

New Transition Module

In this release, you can break down complex contact flows into more manageable subflows or subroutine flows that you can reuse in other contact flows.  The new Transition module enables you to switch between subflows, including syncing up the variables in the contact flows involved.

Increase in Module Limitations

The maximum number of modules allowed per contact flow during an upgrade has been increased from 350 to 800. In combination with the new Transition module, you can now handle large complex contact flows with ease.

Upgrading modules

The CFE automatically updates older versions of modules in a contact flow to newer versions while retaining existing module properties.
