This section describes the fields required to create a new account.

The following table describes the fields that appear in an account record.

FieldDescription
Name

Name of the account. 

This field requires a value. 

 

Account Number

Account number of the customer. If you do not enter a value in this field, a unique value is automatically generated.

Do not enter a space or a special character in this field.

 

Original Account NumberAlternative account number, which is different from the unique account identifier that is within your platform.
Classification

The group into which the account has been classified.

You can define classifications for an account through the Settings tab of the Accounts Config window. For more information, see Account Settings.

Web SiteThe url of the web site associated with the account.
Original IDOriginal ID of the account. This value is unique.
EmployeesNumber of employees in the account.
IndustryIndustry of the account.
Phone OfficeOffice phone number of the account.
Annual RevenueAnnual revenue of the account.
Phone AlternateAlternative phone number for the account.
Account Type

Type of account.

You can define account types using the Settings tab of the Accounts Config window. For more information, see Account Settings.

AgentAgent assigned to the account.
Agent TeamAgent team assigned to the account.
DescriptionDescription of the account.
AddressAddress of the account for billing or shipping.
Postal CodePostal code associated with the address.
CityCity associated with the address.
StateState associated with the address.
CountryCountry associated with the address.
Ticker SymbolStock symbol of the account.
Sic CodeStandard Industrial Classification (SIC) code of the main business categorization of the account.
