Customer analytics show how many customers were active for a given period and how many of them were based in a given geographic location.

Viewing Customer Analytics

To view the customer analytics, in the left pane, hover over Analytics, and then click Users.
The Activity window displaying the Users tab appears.

For menus that do not display a name when opened (for example, All Users), the name that appears on the menu by default has been used in this topic; this name depends on the option that you select on the menu.

Statistics

The Users tab contains the following sections: 

  • All Users Breakdown: Displays the following statistics:
    • Number and percentage of customers who were active.
    • Number and percentage of customers who were not active.
    • Total number of customers.
  • Geography: Displays the number (Active Users) and percentage of customers ((%) of all active)) who were active based on their cities, along with a map in which those cities appear in blue.

    You can maximize or minimize the map by clicking the plus icon or the minus icon , respectively.


  • The date and time when the statistics were calculated appear next to the Download Report button, along with the time zone (for example, 09:51 PM, June 10, 2021 (IST)).
  • The period for which the statistics are displayed (for example, May 12 - Jun 10, 2021) appears in the All Users Breakdown and Geography sections.


  • You can view the statistics on the Users tab based on the type of customers (that is, Registered, Anonymous, and All Users) and the period (for example, last seven days or last 60 days) by using the options on the All Users and Last 30 Days menus, respectively.
  • On the Last 30 Days menu, if you select the Custom option, the DATE RANGE field appears to enable you to specify the period using a calendar.

Geography Report

The geography report contains information about how many customers were based in a given country, region, or city.

Viewing and Downloading the Report

To view and download the geography report:

  1. In the left pane, hover over Analytics, and then click Users.
    The Activity window displaying the Users tab appears.
  2. In the Geography section, click Report. Alternatively, on the User Summary menu, you can click Geography.
    A map appears in which the locations where the customers were based appear in blue. A table displaying the number (Active Users) and percentage of customers ((%) of all active)) who were active based on their locations also appears.

    • You can maximize or minimize the map by clicking the plus icon or the minus icon , respectively.
    • You can view the statistics based on the segments of customers and the types of location (that is, Country, United States, and City) by using the All Users and City menus, respectively.

  3. Click Download Report.
    The geography report is downloaded. The report contains the following sheets:
    • Geography_summary
    • Users_list

Downloaded Report Statistics

The following table describes the columns that appear in the Geography_summary sheet of the downloaded geography report.

Column

Description

GeographyCountry, region, or city in which the customers are based.
All Users or <name of segment>Number of active customers who are based in the location.
(%) of All All Users or (%) of All <name of segment>Percentage of active customers who are based in the location.
