You can dial or receive a call using the LV PBX. You can launch a call to an internal extension or any external number, set as per your service. You can use the LV PBX to handle internal calls, transfer calls to internal extensions and other call-related functionalities.
Dialing a Call
You can launch and use the system dial pad to dial the required phone number.
To dial a call using the LV PBX:
Click Ready.
The Ready button is always visible on your PBX screen, even if you are on other modules, such as VOICEMAIL or CALL LOG.
Enter the phone number and click Dial.
The Calling message pops up. You have the option to disconnect the call, if required.
Once your call is connected, the system displays a Call Connected message.
You can perform the following actions after your call is connected:
Transfer: Transfers the call to an internal extension number.
Hold and Resume: Places the call on hold and then resumes the call.
End call: Ends the call.
Mute and unmute: Click the microphone icon () to mute and unmute your side of the call.
Loudspeaker: Click the speaker icon () to place the call on speaker.
Transferring a Call
You can transfer an outbound or inbound call, once the call is connected.
When the call is connected, you can transfer a call only to an internal extension.
To transfer a call:
Click the Transfer button on your dial pad. A Transfer Call dialog box is displayed.
Enter the extension number to which you want to transfer the call and click Transfer. The call is transferred to the specified extension number.
