To upload a new DNC/suppression file:

  • Navigate to the Phone Number, SMS, or E-Mail tab for which you want to upload the DNC file.
  • Click the Upload DNC File button. An Upload DNC window appears.

  • The file must be in .csv format. The data format for each row is as follows:
    • Phone Number DNC file and SMS file - Phone number, Contact Group Id, Days To Expiry.
    • E-Mail Address - Email, Contact Group Id, Days To Expiry.
  • If a phone number or email address within DNC editor does not have a Contact Group associated, the phone number is restricted at the client level at dial-time regardless of the DNC Contact Group mapping in the Service editor.
  • You can specify 1 day for Days to Expiry column for daily DNC, SMS, and E-Mail suppression.
  • You can upload a file containing up to 100k records. If a file exceeds this limit, the upload is rejected and an error message is displayed.

The below screen shows the Upload DNC popup when uploading the DNC file.

  • Click on either the File field or the green arrow icon to navigate to the local directory that contains your upload file.
  • Select the file to upload. 
  • Select the Include Header? checkbox if DNC file contains header row.
  • Click Import button to import DNC entries.
  • This will add the DNC upload task to the user tasks queue. You can view these tasks by selecting User Tasks option from the User drop-down menu. For more information on viewing the status of user tasks, see Viewing User Tasks section.
