Business units provide a method for defining and reporting on groups of employees from the organizational level. This allows managers a comprehensive view of the business units within the organization. It also allows them to view how information flows between organization levels within the company.

The Business Unit window displays the business unit ID, name, and the name of the manager associated with the business unit.

The following details are available for the Business Unit window:

  • ID: ID of the business unit.
  • Name: Name of the business unit.
  • Manager: Name of the person managing a team within the organization.
  • Name: Name of the business unit.
  • Type: Displays whether the associated entity is an agent team or a call center. This data is populated when you add business units to call centers (Configure > Services > Call Centers) or agent teams (Configure > Agents > Agent Teams).
