Dialing strategies allow you to define the order in which LVP dials phone numbers within a campaign file. You can use one of the standard strategies pre-built on LVP, or you can create one of your own. By default, the Dialing Strategy selected for Campaigns is Standard and is defined as dialing sequentially each phone (Phone 1, Phone 2, Phone 3, and so on).


Sysadmins, Superusers, and Managers (with restrictions) have the ability to define which strategies can be applied to certain services from the Strategies editor. For more information on the user roles and permissions see section on User Roles.


Navigate to the Strategies editor by selecting the Configure > Dialing Config > Strategy from the Navigation Panel.



From the Strategy editor you can configure multiple options for different call strategies and outcomes.

The Strategy editor main screen offers the following tabs and buttons:

  • Tabs
    • General –  Displays the settings for the selected strategy.
    • Outcomes – Displays all possible outcomes for the selected strategy. 
    • Change History – Displays change history on the selected strategy.
  • Buttons:
    • Add Strategy –  Adds a new dialing strategy.
    • Assign Call Center/Service  Assigns the selected strategy to any services available.
    • Copy  Copies an existing dialing strategy.
    • Save  Saves all changes to the selected strategy.
    • Delete  Deletes the selected dialing strategy.
    • Cancel  Cancels the current edit.
  • From the sequence menu:
    • Add  Adds a new phone number to the sequence.
    • Delete  Deletes the selected phone number.
    • Move Up  Moves the selected phone number up in the sequence.
    • Move Down  Moves the selected phone number down in the sequence.
