You can use the Designer window to design and create an Agent Desktop and generate scripts. 

The Designer window displays the following tabs:

Desktops: Enables you to configure the display, properties, and events for the Agent Desktop.

Forms: Enables you to create a Form using the predefined fields designed using the template. You can insert fields to retrieve data from accounts, contacts, and tickets. The form enables you to process issues faster and improve the customer experience. Using the forms attachments option, you can provide your customers with survey forms to collect their feedback and automatically route the tickets to the appropriate department with all the key information.

Scripter: Enables you to configure the scripts that guide agents during an activity (for example, when collecting a credit card) for the Agent Desktop.

  • The Script comes at an additional cost. Contact your Account team to enable this feature.

Functions Library: Enables you to configure the application programming interface (API) for the Agent Desktop.

Theme: A theme is a preconfigured design that enhances the presentation of a page. It is a consistent and unified set of visual elements and styles applied to backgrounds, text, and buttons. Implementing a theme feature in your Script application can enhance the agent's experience and streamline the design process. Images Library: Enables you to add images to scripts for the Agent Desktop.


DESKTOPS: Enables you to view, manage, and publish designer desktops. The following table describes the subtabs on the Desktops tab.

To create and configure Agent Desktop, navigate to Designer > DESKTOPS. The Designer window appears:

Enables you to design a designer desktop.

Properties

Enables you to define the properties of an element that appears on an agent desktop by using the fields on the Properties tab. The fields that appear on the Properties tab vary depending on the element selected on the Design tab.

Events

Enables you to define the events to be associated with the elements of a designer desktop page. 

For more information, see Creating an Event.

Director

Enables you to define the events to be associated with a designer desktop. You can use the Director subtab to trigger actions, such as calling an API call, triggering a page, or loading a component for events initiated by the system or an agent based on the conditions you define. The events that you create on the Director subtab are applicable to the designer desktop. The Designer subtab displays all events, even including those created through the Events subtab for a section of the agent desktop.

SettingsEnables you to define the basic settings of a designer desktop.

Preview

Enables you to preview a designer desktop page. You can use the Preview subtab to test a script to ensure that the script represents the intended flow, business rules, and logic. You can preview a script from the initial page or from the current page.

Change HistoryEnables you to view a summary of all changes made to a designer desktop, a designer desktop page, or an element.

You can view the following information by clicking the avatar in the upper-right corner of the Designer window:
