To edit messages go to the Messages editor and select the Message who's phrasing or settings you want to adjust.  Individual components are edited using different properties.  Many common properties are explained on the Message Properties Supplemental page. You can edit messages from the General tab or within the visualizer (Visual tab).

  • Each property is a step in the call flow and may be a phrase or system instruction.
  • View a visualized flowchart by selecting the Visual tab.

  • The Associated Services tab allows you to view the services associated with the selected message.
  • The Property Value is what will be adjusted to change the script. Double click on the property value to be adjusted to open the Phrase Selector.
  • You will be brought to the Phrase Selector UI.

  • You may modify existing phrase using the options from the Phrase Selector UI:
    • Add Verbiage – Adds a new phrase.
    • Add Variable – Add new variable to a new or existing phrase.
    • Change – Replace selected phrase.
    • Remove – Removes selected phrase.
    • Move up – Moves selected phrase up one space.
    • Move down – Moves selected phrase down one space.
  • LiveVox created phrases with numeric file names starting with 1_, as displayed in the Quick Message Edit box, will play only the visible phrase.
  • Phrases with something other than 1_ will play the phrase and then a database location. These are Series prompts.
    • Use a 1_ series (or your custom audio) followed by a variable from the "Add Variable" UI to get the same effect.
  • After all the messaging changes are complete click the OK button. The new phrase will be in green. Prior to use, the Message must be processed with the following:
    • Save
    • Validate (Confirms recordings available)
    • Build (Compiles recordings into string)
    • Deploy (Assigns new string to Message)

If a new Message was created to keep from impacting other services, assign the new Message now prior to testing. Open the Services editor and go to the Messaging tab. Double-click on the Message's Property value, select the new Message from the drop down, hit Enter, and select Save.

Please allow 30 minutes for the system to process and store new Message before testing. Assigning and testing right away may result in errors or an inconsistent experience.
