The Summary option enables you to create, modify, copy, publish, and delete a designer desktop. The Desktops section that appears when you select the Summary option displays a list of designer desktops and provides various tools to manage them. The section also contains pre-built desktops based on which you can build your own desktops.

Creating a Designer Desktop

You can configure a designer desktop that enables you to customize the graphical layout (look and feel) of an agent desktop and the workflow. 

To create a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, click Add a desktop.
    The New Desktop window appears.
  2. Specify values in the Name and Description fields.
  3. Click Save.
    The designer desktop is created, and it appears in the Desktops section. By default, a new page named Initial is created for the desktop.


Modifying a Designer Desktop

In U10 and later versions of the LiveVox Portal (LVP), you cannot modify the designer desktops that were created in U9. If needed, you must recreate such designer desktops in Designer.

To modify a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop that you want to modify, click the pencil icon. 
    The Edit window appears.
  2. Modify the values in the Name and Description fields as required.
  3. If you want to publish the desktop, select the Published checkbox. 
  4. Click Save.

Copying a Designer Desktop

You can copy a designer desktop, along with its pages.

To copy a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop that you want to copy, click the copy icon. 
    The Copy window appears.
  2. Modify the values in the Name and Description fields as required, and then click Save.

Publishing a Designer Desktop

To publish a designer desktop, in the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop that you want to publish, in the Published column, select the checkbox.

After you publish a designer desktop, you can assign it to an agent desktop. For more information, see Designer Navigation.

Deleting a Designer Desktop

When you delete a designer desktop, all the pages within the desktop are also deleted.

To delete a designer desktop, in the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop that you want to delete, click the close icon.

Adding a Page to a Designer Desktop

After you create a designer desktop, you can customize the desktop by adding the pages that you want to be displayed on the desktop.

To add a page to a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop to which you want to add a page, click the plus icon +.
    The New Page window appears.
  2. Specify values in the Name and Description fields.
  3. If you want this page to be displayed on the designer desktop, select the Set as active page checkbox.

  4. Click Save.

Modifying a Designer Desktop Page

To modify a page of a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop page that you want to modify, click the pencil icon. 
    The Edit window appears.
  2. Modify the values in the Name and Description fields as required, and then click Save.

Copying a Designer Desktop Page

To copy a page of a designer desktop:

  1. In the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop page that you want to copy, click the copy icon. 
    The Copy window appears.
  2. Modify the values in the Name and Description fields as required.
  3. In the Copy to field, select the designer desktop to which you want the page to be copied
  4. Click Save.

Deleting a Designer Desktop Page

To delete a page of a designer desktop, in the Desktops section, in the row displaying the designer desktop page that you want to delete, click the close icon.
