The Knowledge Portal window offers a preview of the KB portal by allowing you to search for published articles. The window contains a search box, along with the options to filter the articles based on their categories, sections, and accessibility (that is, private or public).

Before You Begin

Ensure that the KB portal that you want to preview is published.

To preview a KB portal:

  1. On the Configure tab, click Knowledge Base > Config.
    The Knowledge Base Config window appears.
  2. In the row displaying the KB portal that you want to preview, in the LVP Default column, select the option.
  3. On the Configure tab, click  Knowledge Base > Search.
    The Knowledge Portal window appears, displaying the KB portal that you selected in step 2.
  4. If the article is assigned to a category and section, in the Filters section, select the category and section in the Category and Section drop-down list boxes, respectively.

  5. Depending on the property of the article, clear or select the Private Articles or Public Articles checkboxes.
  6. In the search box, enter any text that exists in the article, and then press Enter or click .
    Articles that contain the text appear.

    • If you click an article that is a file, it is downloaded.
    • If you click an article that is a web-crawled content, the associated webpage appears.
