Secure Payment Capture is a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certified credit card payment capture process that allows consumers to enter credit card payment information through a telephone key pad while a call center agent is providing verbal instructions. By following a script of instructions that are configured on the agent’s desktop, the agent speaks the required instructions directly to the consumer to guide the consumer through the payment process. The consumer uses the telephone key pad to enter the required credit card payment information, and call recording is paused during that phase, ensuring that even the dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) tones are not recorded, and this data is not logged. Integration with a payment gateway can provide processing of these transactions in real-time.
